Will you need help paying your heating bills? Home heating and/or cooling help is available through LIHEAP, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. Select https://caasiouxland.org/ for applications, eligibility requirements and available assistance.
Household’s with a member 60 and over OR a disabled person can apply in October. If you do not meet that criteria, the general public may apply beginning November 1st. If someone from the general public applies in October, your application will be denied, and you will have to make an appointment after November 1st and go into Community Action Agency and apply.
LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) Income Guidelines
(October 1, 2019 – September 30, 2020) The total household income for an applicant must be at or below 175% of the 2019 federal poverty guidelines which are listed below:
