Happy Fall! One of our favorite parts of fall is our Homeless to Home Sweet Home — Whiskey, Wine & Brew Fundraiser. If you have not already done so, be sure to purchase your tickets. Our BoD Chair, Angie Van Otterloo, shares her memories from our past fundraisers in the Q&A below.

Q: Why did you choose to be on Center For Siouxland’s Board of Directors?

A: Center For Siouxland offers several programs and services that are needed in our community. In my current position at Central Bank, potential clients I work with, especially when it comes to home ownership, have needed to utilize these programs. This is when I really became aware of Center For Siouxland. I was surprised at how much MORE they do! Once I understood everything Center For Siouxland offers it only made sense for me to get involved.

Q: What has been your favorite part of past Homeless to Home Sweet Home — Whiskey, Wine & Brew Fundraisers?

A: Honestly, a fun night out with my friends while supporting a great agency was my favorite part. The food, drinks, and entertainment come in close second!

Q: What are you looking forward to most with our upcoming 2021 Homeless to Home Sweet Home — Whiskey, Wine & Brew Fundraiser?

A: After the year we had in 2020 I’m excited to be out in this type of event again; mingling with people, listening to some music, and having some great food with wine/beer paired with it.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?

A: People who aren’t aware of what Center For Siouxland does would be surprised at everything this agency does. Come spend a fun night out at the Sioux City Country Club to learn more! Bring your friends and have a great time!

Don’t forget that our event will take place on Friday, Oct. 8, from 6-10 p.m. at the Sioux City Country Club. #CFShomesweethome
