Central Bank presented a $1500 check to Center For Siouxland on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Noon. Central Bank is partnering with Center For Siouxland to provide free credit reports to individuals and families who participate in Sioux City Housing Authority’s Family Self Sufficiency Program. The Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program is an employment and savings incentive program for low-income families that have Housing Choice Vouchers. The FSS program is aimed at empowering volunteer families to leave the welfare system or low paying jobs so that they may become financially self-sufficient. The FSS program links Sioux City Housing Authority’s (SCHA) rental assistance program with various support services to assist participating families in meeting their planned goals over a five-year period.  The FSS program fits perfectly with Center For Siouxland’s mission of “…helping people, empowering lives, and building futures.”  Center For Siouxland’s Certified Credit Counselors will provide a comprehensive review of the credit report and an action plan to address any concerns as well as plan towards achieving their financial goals.
