Center For Siouxland would like to thank all of our volunteers, not just this week but every day! National Volunteer Week was established in 1974 to highlight the various opportunities available for those interested in volunteering. For nearly 45 years, National Volunteer Week has encouraged individuals to give back to others and engage in their communities. It’s a time to thank all the thousands of volunteers across the country who keep many organizations running, communities safe and provide the services that otherwise would not exist without volunteers. It’s also a time to consider volunteering or providing support to those organizations vital to your community.
