To best serve our clients, we have adopted the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Counseling and Education (NISHCE).
Housing Services
Our certified housing counselors are well-trained to maintain current knowledge in such areas as loans, mortgages, terms, mortgage default, as well as local, state, and federal housing laws and regulations. We provide housing counseling services to clients regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status and disability. Iowa Homeowner Assistance Fund
The Iowa Homeowner Assistance Fund program provides eligible homeowners assistance with mortgage payments and related property expenses.

- Homeowner Association Fees
- Manufactured Home/Lot Rent Payments
- Land Contract Payments*
*Applicants who do not own property but are buying under a legally recorded contract.

Learn what you need to know about the home-buying process and your responsibilities as a homeowner before you make the biggest investment of your life. Homebuyer Workshop Courses are scheduled once a month January through November. Classes are taught by a certified housing counselor and are FREE thanks to a donation by Availa Bank and U.S. Bank.

MyPad Down Payment Assistance Program
The City of Sioux City Neighborhood Services Division offers the MyPad Down Payment Assistance Program. The purpose of the program is to assist low-income households ready to enter homeownership by providing part or all of their down payment and closing costs. Qualified households can receive between $1,000-$14,999, depending upon their circumstances.
